The Pediatric Infectious Diseases Division evaluates and treats children with acquired or congenital disorders of the immune system. This includes illnesses known or suspected to be caused by viruses, bacteria, fungi or parasites, as well as children with infections that involve multiple body systems; children with unusual or severe infections; and children with infections related to abnormal or weakened immune systems, such as HIV/AIDS.
