The Pain Management Center provides individualized care for patients dealing with long-term pain conditions, including arthritis, fibromyalgia and spasticity associated with multiple sclerosis or spinal cord injuries. New patients experiencing chronic pain first meet with a physician at one of the center’s three locations for a consultation. Treatment options include steroid and trigger point injections, nerve blocks, spinal drug delivery systems and integrative medicine offerings with an interdisciplinary team. The center conducts several pain medicine research studies, and has also established a retrospective chronic pain patient registry. It is also part of a 12-month Tri-Institutional Pain Medicine Fellowship with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and The Hospital for Special Surgery, designed to train the next generation of leaders in interventional pain medicine.
