The Molecular Imaging Innovations Institute (MI3) brings together faculty, postdoctoral associates and graduate students in physics, chemistry, biology and medicine to develop imaging probes and technologies to visualize disease at the molecular level. The institute focuses on translational research related to topics including oncology, cardiovascular diseases and infectious diseases, with the mission of driving innovation and new diagnostics from the lab to the clinic. It has developed molecular imaging approaches to identify diagnostic markers, detect early disease states, validate therapeutic treatment effects and aid in the drug discovery process.
