The Environmental Health & Safety Department develops, maintains and promotes policies, procedures, training and educational programs that keep the institution safe and healthy for students, faculty, staff and the visiting public. To fulfill this mission, the department oversees workplace safety programs, responds to emergency scenarios, such as fires or the release of hazardous materials, and implements programs to reduce health, safety and environmental risks on-campus.  EHS also provides administrative support to the Radiation Safety Committee (RSC) and the Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC).
