The Comprehensive Epilepsy Center offers the latest treatments for adults and children with epilepsy, including cranial device implantation, vagus nerve stimulation and minimally invasive laser brain surgery. The center uses blood tests, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT) scanning and electrodiagnostic testing to evaluate brain function and pinpoint the location of seizures in the brain. The center also conducts basic science and clinical research, and participates in clinical trials to support new drug development. The center teaches students, residents and fellows about neurophysiologic testing and epilepsy care, and also educates the community and healthcare professions about epilepsy.
