Cornell University President Martha E. Pollack issued a statement regarding the shooting in Buffalo this weekend, one of multiple mass shootings and violent acts that have taken place in recent days around the country. Whether near or far, these events fill us with sadness, horror, and outrage. Our nation has already lost nearly one million lives due to the COVID pandemic. We must overcome the divisions that plague our society and find a way to heal.
