The Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Division provides the full spectrum of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeries. Physicians treat conditions and deformities related to trauma and cancer, such as surgery for facial injuries and the reconstruction of facial defects after skin cancer or tumor removal. They also perform a wide range of elective cosmetic procedures, such as liposuction, breast reconstruction and laser surgery for facial skin resurfacing. Division surgeons specialize in pediatric surgeries for congenital conditions like cleft lip and palate, and participate in non-profit missions to countries including Honduras, Ecuador and China. They also have a robust clinical research program, investigating topics such as the use of bone substitutes.
