The Gale and Ira Drukier Institute for Children’s Health explores the underlying causes of diseases that affect children. Scientists research topics such as pediatric diseases caused by an altered immune system. Institute scientists also partner with physicians from Weill Cornell Medicine’s excellent pediatric clinical care program to ensure bench-side breakthroughs are rapidly translated to the young patients that need them. The institute awards the annual Gale and Ira Drukier Prize in Children’s Health Research to an early-career pediatrician whose research has made significant contributions toward improving the health of children and adolescents.
