Dear WCM community,
We know many of you have been following the news and are worried about our students, faculty, and staff at our Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar campus.
Our campus leadership in Doha has taken all appropriate steps following guidance from the Government of Qatar, including an immediate transition to remote learning and remote work. Campus facilities at Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar will be closed during this period.
Throughout the weekend, we have been in constant communication with Dean Javaid Sheikh. We will continue to provide support to his administration as needed.
The well-being of every member of our institution, wherever they are in the world, always remains a top priority. To our students and colleagues in Qatar, and those with friends and relatives across the region, know that you are in our hearts and thoughts during this challenging time. No matter the miles that separate us, you are our faculty, our students, our staff, and part of our community in every meaningful way.
Sincerely,
Michael I. Kotlikoff
