The Center for the Study of Hepatitis C aims to understand the biologic properties of the hepatitis C virus and improve the lives of those affected with this liver disease. The center is a collaboration between Weill Cornell Medicine, The Rockefeller University and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, where expert physicians work together to design novel treatments for hepatitis C. It conducts basic, clinical and translational research to answer questions about how the virus interacts with liver cells and the immune system and to look for new drug targets. It is also involved in both small-scale and large, multicenter clinical trials, and is committed to educating physicians and fostering international partnerships with other institutions.
