New York City residents discard approximately 11,000 tons of trash and over 2,000 tons a day of recyclables.

If you enjoyed a fresh cut evergreen tree this holiday season, give back and Chip In. New York City Department of Parks & Recreation is hosting their annual MulchFest this weekend on January 8-9. Click the link to find a location near you. Bring your tree and it will be recycled into wood chips.
