Weill Cornell alumni make a difference by supporting the area of student scholarship to help aspiring future doctors achieve their dreams. More than 70 class scholarship and loan funds provide annual income for tuition assistance for qualifying students. Thanks to the generosity of alumni and friends, our student debt is consistently below the national private medical school average.
With a gift to Weill Cornell, you will help assure that students receive the financial assistance they need and the education and training required to prepare them for their futures in medicine. Your contribution will also ease the large debt burdens that often drive them away from pursuing critical but lower-paying fields such as pediatrics, internal medicine, and geriatrics. And while many alumni choose to support scholarships, you can make a gift to any area of your choice including student enrichment programs, the medical library, and faculty recruitment efforts, among others.

16th Annual Dean's Circle Dinner
New York Athletic Club - 6.27.13
The Dean’s Circle, Weill Cornell’s most prestigious alumni giving society, was established in 1997 to recognize alumni who have made significant financial commitments to ensure the continued excellence of the Medical College.
The names of Dean's Circle members are listed prominently on a plaque in the Weill Education Center, located at 1300 York Avenue. Members also receive a handsome certificate signed by the Dean of the Medical College and a lapel pin symbolizing membership in this distinguished group. Additionally, Dean’s Circle members are invited, along with a guest, to join the Dean at an annual recognition dinner in New York City in June.
The Dean's Circle honors Weill Cornell alumni who make outright gifts or pledges of $25,000 or more (payable over five years) as well as alumni who establish irrevocable planned gifts of $50,000 or more. Members typically allocate their support to their class scholarship fund or endow a named scholarship, but gifts can also be allocated to any area of interest, such as faculty recruitment, the global health program, or student enrichment programs.
If you would like to join the Dean’s Circle or for more information, please download our Dean’s Circle Brochure or contact Clara E. Sharp, Director, Alumni Relations and Giving, at (646) 317-7412 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
