The Molecular and Genomic Pathology Division provides physicians with the molecular information they need to diagnose diseases, monitor the prognosis of patients and select appropriate therapeutic options. Division faculty use innovative genomic technologies to interrogate and identify diseases related to solid tumors, hematologic malignancies, infectious diseases and inherited diseases. The division is comprised of three laboratories specializing in clinical genomics, molecular pathology and molecular hematopathology, which are all accredited by the New York State Department of Health and the College of American Pathologists. The division works in close collaboration with the Englander Institute for Precision Medicine, a translational research hub at WCM, to pinpoint the molecular underpinnings of disease and spur the discovery of novel therapies.
