The Maternal-Fetal Medicine Division cares for women and their fetuses during high-risk and complicated pregnancies. Medical complications of pregnancy addressed by Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists include high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes or endocrine disorders, infectious diseases, lupus in pregnancy, recurrent pre-term labor and suspected fetal growth restriction. Maternal-Fetal Medicine physicians work closely with the Perinatal Center to coordinate every aspect of care during a high-risk pregnancy.
