The Dalio Institute for Cardiovascular Imaging is made up of a multidisciplinary team of physicians and scientists in radiology, cardiology, genetics, proteomics and computational biology who study, detect and treat heart disease. Patients receive expert diagnoses using the best available imaging tools, including MRI, CT and PET scanners, as well as newer tests that rely on blood markers. Dalio Institute physicians serve patients in the emergency department as well as inpatient and outpatient settings. The institute emphasizes the early identification of heart disease in women, ethnic minorities and young patients with a family history of premature heart disease.
