Robin Kappy, LCSW

Robin Kappy, LCSW has been a psychotherapist and supervisor in practice since 1989. She is a certified Focusing Oriented Psychotherapist (see www.focusing.org) and has received advanced training in EMDR and CATCH Permissive Hypnosis. Her professional background includes experience in the areas of addiction, HIV/AIDS and cancer. She currently teaches and supervises on the faculty of the Focusing Oriented Relational Psychotherapy Program (FORPP), a psychotherapy training program directed by Lynn Preston, MA, MS. In collaboration with Susan Rudnick, LCSW, she has developed a process called Rest Well Tonight, an individualized process to help people rest and sleep more easily. In collaboration with therapist Janet Pfunder, "Visual Experiencing" workshops offer opportunities for participants to appreciate and explore how the world we see around us interacts with our experience directly and metaphorically. Her office is located at the St. Denis building at the corner of Broadway and 11th Street. She in network with Empire BC/BS, Oxford and Medicare.
