Description of Practice/Services Offered

Dr. Bleiberg provides both brief and long-term treatments for patients with depression, anxiety and interpersonal difficulties related to life transitions, relationship issues, medical illness, grief, and past abuse and other traumas. She has a specialty in treating depression following pregnancy loss as well as during pregnancy and postpartum.

Areas of Research

Dr. Bleiberg has been investigating psychotherapy and pharmacologic treatments for depression and adapting Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder at Cornell. She has developed a treatment for miscarriage grief that has been tested with good results.
