Women's Mental Health Consortium

Edith Rubenstein, MD

I have been involved in women’s issues throughout my practice of 23 years. The bulk of my time is spent in the private practice of outpatient general psychiatry with specialty areas of eating disorders, mood disorders and management of psychiatric illness in pregnant and postpartum women. I am trained in psychodynamically-oriented psychotherapy and also practice cognitive-behavioral techniques where appropriate. I am a member of the Academy for Eating Disorders. I have also been involved for two decades in the clinical teaching and supervision of psychiatry residents. I consult widely to colleagues in OB-GYN.
