Description of Practice/Services Offered
I treat children, adolescents and adults. My approach is eclectic, depending on the presenting problem. Approaches include psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral and interpersonal. Treat various problems including anxiety, depression, PTSD, social anxiety, stress management, social phobia, and interpersonal difficulties.
Areas of Research
I direct two research projects at NYU designed to help pre-adolescent and adolescent girls who have histories of abuse (sexual and physical) and other types of trauma. It is a cognitive-behavioral treatment focus, offered in both individual and group formats. I also serve as a consultant to clinicians around the country on the implementation of a CBT treatment manual in clinical settings.
