Personal Property

Each apartment has been enrolled for a $3,000 Personal Property Insurance Policy, at no cost to students unless they wish to opt for coverage beyond the base policy. The cost of the Buy-Up program for a family or single person occupied apartment is $25.00 per year for each $2,000 of additional insurance. If you live in a shared apartment the personal property coverage is $3,000 aggregate among all residents per policy year which ends August 15 of each year. If you require additional coverage, you have the option to secure your own policy. The rates for this program are extremely reasonable.

Information that summarizes the program, covered losses and how to file a claim is available electronically at www.studentinsuranceprograms.com/pp (click on Weill Cornell in the pull down menu).
