Research Profile:The current research focus includes:Development of gene-based vaccines against pulmonary pathogens. In particular the use of capsid-modified adenovirus vectors to enhance immune responses as genetic vaccines against Pseudomonas aeruginosa and RSV. Interaction of alveolar macrophages with Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The goal is to elucidate the role of alveolar macrophages in the pathogenesis of cystic fibrosis.
