Dr. William Frayer is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medical College and Associate Attending Pediatrician at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. His expertise is in the care and intensive care of newborn infants, with a special interest in pulmonary and nutrition issues.
 
Dr. Frayer received his medical degree (M.D.) at Cornell University Medical College (now Weill Cornell Medical College) in 1972. He had already achieved an M.S. in Bioengineering at Cornell University in 1968, where he had also earned a B.A. from the College of Engineering two years earlier.
 
Following medical school, Dr. Frayer entered his residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Cornell University Medical College (now Weill Cornell Medical College), which he completed in 1974. He continued on at NYPH as a Perinatology Fellow, completing his fellowship in 1976.
 
Dr. Frayer served as Medical Director for Information Services for NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital for fourteen years. In this capacity, he has been involved with issues ranging from bedside documentation and the development of clinical information systems to health care financing working with the New York State Department of Health.
 
His research interests center on the application of information technology to clinical care of all patients.
