Research Overview
Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
The obligation of every clinician is to learn as much as possible from every patient encounter so that future patients may benefit. While the gold standard for answering questions is the randomized controlled clinical trial, there are other means of learning.
While the physicians of the Division of Pediatric Critical Care are dedicated to learning from patients and bringing cutting-edge research to the bedside, patients and families can rest assured that these physicians adhere to the strictest ethical standards. No patient is enrolled in a research study without expressed, written consent from the parent or legal guardian.
