Biography
Nena Osorio, M.D. is the Medical Director for General Inpatient Pediatrics. She is also an Instructor at Weill Cornell Medical College and an Assistant Attending Pediatrician in the Department of Pediatrics at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. She is board-certified in pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Osorio graduated in 1985 from the University of Belgrade School of Medicine, where she earned her M.D. In 1987, she became a Visiting Fellow in the department of Physiology and Biophysics of Cornell University Medical College (now Weill Cornell Medical School). In 1990, she was appointed Postdoctoral Associate in the same department. During her research years, she published three articles in the area of renal physiology.
She was a Pediatric Resident at NewYork- Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell from 1992 to 1995, where she also served as Chief Resident. After completing her residency training, Dr. Osorio was in private practice in New York City for seven years before joining the Weill Cornell Medical Center in 2003 as a general pediatrician.
