Dr. Goldstein is a graduate of Cornell University, and he received his medical degree from the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine of the City University of New York. He completed a one-year internship in the Dept. of Surgery at the Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York, followed by a residency in Anesthesiology at the Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital in New York. Dr. Goldstein received an additional two years of training in the Dept. of Physiology and Biophysics at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University as a Post-Doctoral Trainee through the United States Public Health Service. Dr. Goldstein was an Assistant Attending in Anesthesiology at the Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center before joining the Department of Anesthesiology at the Weill Cornell Medical Center in 2000. His areas of clinical expertise include neuroanesthesia and anesthesia for bariatric surgery patients. Currently, Dr. Goldstein serves on several state and national committees, including the New York State Society of Anesthesiologists committees on Government, Legal and Economic Affairs and Continuous Quality Improvement and Peer Review and the American Society of Anesthesiologists Subcommittee on Experimental Neuroscience.
