1998 Recipient of the Division Chairs and Dean of Faculty Grant from for honors research in Psychology and the Paul Perez Award for Academic Excellence in Psychology at Colby College in Waterville, Maine.
2002 Elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honors society.
2004 Recipient of the University of Hawaii's Transitional Resident of the Year Award.
2005 Recipient of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery's grant for research on myopia, race, and corneal thickness.
2006 Selected as the Chief resident for the New York University and Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital ophthalmology residency program.
2007 Selected as the Chief glaucoma fellow for the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary and New York University glaucoma fellowship program.
2008 Awarded Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and the National Eye Institute's Travel Grant and was selected by the American Glaucoma Society to represent them at the 2008 American Academy of Ophthalmology Mid Year Forum.
