Biography
Dr. Marco Seandel is an Assistant Professor at WCMC. He did M.D./Ph.D. training at S.U.N.Y Stony Brook, followed by Internal Medicine residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital/ Weill Cornell. He then completed Medical Oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and became board certified in 2008. His prior research interests in angiogenesis led him to pursue post-doctoral studies with Dr. Shahin Rafii. As a post-doctoral researcher, he focused on environmental influences on the fate of adult stem cells and cancer cells and developed novel tools to explore the concept of the vascular niche.
