Biography
Dr. Fran A. Ganz-Lord did her undergraduate training at Amherst College. She graduated AOA from Tufts University School of Medicine in 1999 and completed her medical training in Internal Medicine at the New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Campus in 2002. After spending a year on faculty at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Dr. Ganz-Lord returned to Weill Cornell to join the Weill Cornell Internal Medicine Associates practice in 2003.
Dr. Ganz-Lord is a general internist who takes a particular interest in preventative medicine. She also has a particular expertise in the area of diabetes. She is a co-investigator for the ACCORD trial which is a major NIH funded trial looking at cardiovascular outcomes in diabetic patients. She also received a Duffy Grant from the American Board of Internal Medicine to look at medicine resident care for diabetic patients at WCIMA. She is the medical leader of the Weill Corenll Internal Medicine Associates' Diabetes Care Program and sits on the Diabetic Steering Committee for the Ambulatory Care Network at the New York Presbyterian Hospital.
