Biography
Dr. Denise D. Correa obtained a Master's degree and a PhD in Neuropsychology at the University of Victoria in British Columbia. She completed a pre-doctoral internship in Clinical Neuropsychology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, and post-doctoral fellowships in Neuropsychology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC). Dr. Correa became a faculty member in the Department of Neurology at MSKCC in 1997, and currently holds the position of Clinical Assistant in Neuropsychology. She became a faculty member in the Department of Neurology and Neuroscience at Cornell Medical College in 1998, and currently has the title of Assistant Professor of Neuropsychology. Dr. Correa obtained specialty board certification in Clinical Neuropsychology in 2002.
Dr. Correa's clinical responsibilities include neuropsychological evaluations of adult patients with various neurological disorders. Her clinical research activities have focused on the cognitive side effects of cranial irradiation and chemotherapy treatments in adult patients with brain tumors.
