Investigators and administrators who would like assistance preparing competing (new, renewal, resubmission, or revision) grant applications that must be submitted electronically through Grants.gov for deadlines in February and March are invited to attend the December training session. The procedures and forms necessary for Grants.gov electronic submission using the Adobe-Forms-C packages will be demonstrated and explained. Applicants who are familiar with Forms-B/B1/B2 will not need to attend a training session on Forms-C.
To prepare to use the Adobe forms, please install a Grants.gov-compatible version of Adobe Acrobat Professional (9.2 for Macintosh and 9.4 for Windows) from http://weill.cornell.edu/its/downloads/. If you have any difficulty installing or using Adobe Acrobat Professional please contact the ITS Service Desk at 212-746-4878 or email@example.com.
To provide an opportunity for hands-on learning, the training will be in the Samuel J. Wood library computer room at 1300 York Avenue. Space is limited. Please visit https://survey2.med.cornell.edu/perseus/se.ashx?s=61B4E50405872E85 to make your reservation.
NIH applications with due dates on/after September 25, 2013, must be submitted using Adobe-Forms-C (except for applications for Fellowship, Training, Career Development and Small Business programs which will transition later). A list of changes is documented here: http://grants.nih.gov/grants/ElectronicReceipt/files/FORMS-C_Changes.pdf.
The new NIH Application Guide for electronic SF 424 (R&R) applications has been published (http://grants.nih.gov/grants/funding/424/index.htm) and the new Adobe-Forms-C application packages are now available for many funding opportunities (http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/).
