Dr. Jennifer Epstein
Jennifer Epstein, Ph.D., Assistant Professor in the Division of Prevention and Health Behavior, is engaged in a grant project funded by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention titled “Indicators of Suicidal Behaviors Using National Adolescent Samples.” The key aim of this study is to examine the relationship between indicators of suicidal behaviors (i.e., self-reported suicidal ideation and suicide attempts) and risk behaviors (e.g., alcohol use and non-use of seatbelts) among two national samples of high school students surveyed in 1991 and 2003, and also to compare how the indicators and risk factors have changed over time.
