Biostatistics and Epidemiology
The Division's role is to support and encourage laboratory, clinical, and outcomes research at the medical college and to
serve as an academic home for biostatistics and epidemiology.
Community & Public Health Programs
The Division offers comprehensive evaluation and treatment for substance abuse, as well as psychiatric treatment and referral. It also conducts research in the field.
Health Policy
The Division conducts research on health care policy issues, including resource allocation, financing and reimbursement,
health care technology assessment, program evaluation, and the health care delivery system.
Medical Ethics
The Division seeks to discover how to provide the most ethical care to patients and research subjects; to share this
knowledge with physicians, students, and researchers; and to create standards of ethical care.
Outcomes and Effectiveness Research
The Division's mission is to improve the quality and effectiveness of medical care and reduce disparities in treatment.
Prevention and Health Behavior
The Division's research and programs aim to promote good health and prevent diseases associated with unhealthy behaviors.
Quality and Medical Informatics
The Division's mission is to improve clinical quality and patient safety, particularly through the use of health information technology.
