Finding and Applying for Funding
For those of you seeking funding opportunities, the following websites enable you to specify the types of grants and eligibility requirements you need. This is especially valuable for international postdocs who are excluded from many government and private fellowships.
COS - The largest, most comprehensive database of available funding for the sciences. Sponsors include private foundations, public agencies, national and local governments, corporations and more.
Egrants.net - When you register with this website you will receive periodic notification of grants with the eligibility requirements you specify.
Grantsnet.org - This is a free service supported by HHMI and AAAS which provides advice and resources to find funds for training in the sciences.
Here please find an extensive guide for F32 NRSA applications, prepared by the Office of Education and Training in Research Administration (OETRA).
For your reference the NIH link for F32 FAQs can be be found at: https://www.nigms.nih.gov/training/indivpostdoc/pages/PostdocFellowsFAQ.aspx
The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs website is also a great resource for identifying additional funding opportunities.
When the Grants and Contracts office receives funding announcements directly from funding agencies, the WCMC community is informed through the Broadcast Listserv.
Also, the Annual Register of Grant Support is a hard cover directory of funding sources. This publication is available for identifying research funding opportunities in Room A-128.
