Our Students

The Tri-Institutional MD-PhD Program recruits a diverse group of highly qualified students from across the country. The Program admits an average of 16-18 students per year. In recent years for matriculating students, the average GPA was 3.83 (standard deviation of 0.16) and an average MCAT score in the 95th percentile (standard deviation of 5.48). The range of GPA for matriculated students has been 3.02 - 4.00 and the range of MCAT percentiles has been 81-100. Graduates of the Program are successful: of those who have completed their residency and fellowship training, over 80% are in full-time faculty positions in basic science and clinical departments.

The students of the Tri-Institutional MD-PhD Program come from a great variety of undergraduate schools located in all regions of the country, from large research univsersities to small liberal arts colleges.
