With great pleasure, we announce that Mark Pecker, M.D., has agreed to accept the responsibilities as Associate Director of the Tri-Institutional MD-PhD Program.
Dr. Pecker has for many years been a major contributor to the MD-PhD Program. He initiated the Introduction to Medicine for Clinical Investigators (IMCI), a special course for MD-PhD students, in the early 1990s. At the New York Presbyterian Hospital, he was the Department of Medicine residency director, which gave him unique insights in to the post-graduate clinical training. Many past and current MD-PhD students have benefited from his advice and guidance about post-graduate careers. More recently, he has been the faculty leader of Case Discussion Rounds, which has enabled students in their thesis years to maintain some involvement with clinical medicine.
