Tri-I MD-PhD Student Spotlight: Andrew Milewski (6th Year)

Check out our first video of the new series on Tri-Institutional MD-PhD Student Spotlights!

We kick off the series with an interview of 6th year MD-PhD student, Andrew Milewski. Andrew comes from a quantitative background, and he talks about how he overcame doubts and successfully has been putting his physics background to use in his research and career as a physician-scientist.

Andrew serves as the Co-Executive Director for the Weill Cornell Center for Human Rights, the first student-run such center in the country, and has been a Big Sib (peer mentor) for the Gateways to the Laboratory Program for undergraduates interested in becoming physician-scientists for the past three years.

Andrew's favorite part of the Tri-Institutional MD-PhD Program? "That's a very difficult question because so many facets of the experience have been great!" He shares how getting to know his peers in his year and others, having a great mentor, and the constant support of the administration have all been some of his favorite parts of his experience here.

Stay tuned for more Student Spotlight interviews in the near future!
