Dr. Peter Hotez, Tri-I MD-PhD alum, elected to American Academy of Arts and Sciences



Peter Hotez (Tri-I MD-PhD graduating class of 1987), current professor and dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, has been elected as a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Hotez is a world-renowned expert in neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) and is the founder of the National School of Tropical Medicine at Baylor. His appointment to the Public Affairs and Public Policy section of the Academy is recognition of the far reaching impact of Dr. Hotez's work on global health.
