Photography and Digital Imaging

Information Technology & Services (ITS) now offers photography and digital imaging services which includes event and location photography, professional portraiture, consultation, image scanning and editing, and promotional prints of your website. We specialize in photography of new office spaces, public relations events, groups, clinical settings, operating room, small objects as still lives, gels/plates, and more. Appointments must be made in advance.

What Is Included

For photography and digital imaging, we provide:

  • Studio Photography: Still life set-ups, small objects/instruments, petri dishes, and gels.
  • Location Photography: Photography of events, groups, and new office spaces and clinical settings.
  • Professional Portraiture: Portrait sitting for departmental brochures, annual reports, public relations, web sites and licensing/student applications
  • Passport Photography:Same day service for passport, visa and US Immigration service photos
  • Teaching & Consultation: One-on-one training and basic application support on Microsoft Powerpoint and Adobe Photoshop
  • Image Editing: Manipulation, composing, retouching, restoration, and revisions of digital images
  • Scanning: Publication of quality RGB & grayscale scans acquired from books, photos, negative film, 4x5 film, X-rays, or CT scans. We also provide volume slide scanning for slide libraries.
  • Custom Color/Black & White Prints:
  • Web Site Promotional Prints: Complete pages of your website as it appears on screen printed on glossy paper
  • Quicktime VR: Virtual tours of new office space or locations to be used as a web-ready movie for your website or presentation

Cost

Studio Photography: $100 per hour, with a 1/4 hour minimum

Location Photography: $200 per hour, with 1 hour minimum
  • Event Photography:
    • $200 per hour for events between 9AM-5PM
    • $250 per hour for events before 9AM or after 5PM
  • Group Photography:
    • $200 per hour for groups with less than 25 people
    • $400 per hour for groups with more than 25 people
Professional Portraiture:
  • $50 per hour for studio portraits
  • $100 per hour for portraits in the office, clinic or lab

Passport Photography: $10

Teaching & Consultation: $80 per hour

Image Editing: $80 per hour

Scanning:
  • $8 per scan for RGB & grayscale scans from books, photos, negative film, 4x5 film, x-rays & CT scans.
  • $3 per scan for volume slide scanning of up to 300 slides fro Microsoft Powerpoint. For scanning of slide libraries or slides of more than 300, please call for pricing information.
Custom Color/Black&White Prints, including printed photos from past events or locations:
  • $10 for first 5x7 print, $8 for additional prints
  • $12 for first 8x10 print, $10 for additional prints

Website Promotional Prints: $12 per page of your website printed

QuickTime VR: $300 initial charge for one room/space and $100 for each additional space. The costs include shooting on location, editing files, and producing a web-ready movie for your website or presentation.

Photography archives:
  • $50 per image for the use of high-resolution images from our photography archives for brochures, annual reports, or newsletters will be charged
  • $80 per hour for the time spent locating, resizing, and sending (via email) portraits or files from our archives

Web images of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and WCMC buildings and official logos for Microsoft Powerpoint presentations can be provided via email at no additional charge.
