Request A Wiki Space

Before requesting a wiki space, be aware of the following:

  • Nexus is a self-service resource. ITS does not provide assistance with designing or maintaining the content in your wiki space.
  • ITS manages the wiki software, server, initial space setup, and wiki space access lists only.
  • Wiki space admins are responsible for managing the design and content of their own spaces.
  • Only users with an existing CWID can be given access to your wiki space.
  • Nexus is not meant to replace departmental file servers. Please be reasonable in your use of wiki resources.

To get help with using Nexus:

  • Review the "How To Wiki" space for basic usage instructions.
  • Review the Wiki Notation Guide available when editing a page.
  • Please direct all questions about Nexus to the ITS Service Desk.

Space Name*:
The space name is used to identify your wiki space within the system and help users in navigating Nexus.

Space Key:
The space key is a short form of the space title. It is used to uniquely identify your space. For simplicity, a space key can only consist of letters or numbers (A-Z, a-z, 0-9). As an example, the "Department of Surgery" space might have a space key of "SURGERY". If you cannot come up with a space key, leave this field blank and we will generate one for you.

Space Owner's CWID*:
The space owner is the primary owner and administrator for the wiki space.

Secondary Owner's CWID:
If you wish to designate a secondary space administrator, please enter their CWID in this field.

Editor CWIDs:

Users assigned to the editor role will be able to create and edit most types of content within the wiki space.

Viewer CWIDs:

Users assigned to the viewer role will be able to browse and comment on content within the wiki space.
