Voicemail Instructions

Accessing Voicemail

  1. Press the MSG/INBOX button or dial 67440.
  2. At the prompt press the # key (if you are calling from your phone) or enter your mailbox number (the 5-digit extension number) followed by the # key.
  3. Enter your password followed by the # key. To set up your voicemail for the first time and for further voicemail instructions, refer to the guides below.
  4. From outside the office, dial (212) 746-7440 and follow the prompts:
    • When prompted for your mailbox or if checking someone else's extension from your phone, dial the 5-digit extension followed by the # key.
    • Enter the password followed by # key. Refer to steps below on how to create a password.
  5. To listen to your messages, press 2.
  6. To discard a message, press 76.
  7. To log off the voicemail system, dial 83 or hang up the phone.

Setting up Your Voicemail for the First Time

  1. Lift handset and dial 67440 or push Msg/Inbox button on the phone.
  2. When prompted for the mailbox, press the # key (if you're setting up your voicemail from your own phone), or dial your 5-digit extension followed by the # key.
  3. When prompted for your password, enter 55 plus your five-digit extension, followed by the # key. This is your default password. The system will automatically prompt you to change this password once you are logged on.

Creating or Changing Your Password

  1. Log into the voicemail system (refer to steps above).
  2. Press 84 once you have logged into your mailbox.
  3. Enter 55 plus your extension followed by the # key.
  4. Enter your new password followed by the # key.
  5. Enter your new password again followed by the # key.
  6. Your password must be at least six (6) digits long.
  7. You have now created your new password. Upon your next login to the voicemail system, you must use this password.

Recording Your Personal Greeting

  1. Log into the voicemail system (refer to steps above).
  2. Press 82.
  3. Press 1 to record your external greeting.
  4. Press 5 to begin recording and the # key to stop.
  5. Press 2 to listen to your recording.
  6. You may delete it by pressing 76, then press 5 to record again.
