RESOLVED: Microsoft Exchange Service Disruption, 10/30
Early this morning, Information Technologies & Services (ITS) Microsoft Exchange email environment experienced an unexpected disruption in service. As a result, users experienced a delay in receiving messages in their email client and mobile devices.
We experienced two service disruptions on Friday, October 30, between 7:00AM-12:30PM. Service has been completely restored and queued messages should now be delivered to the email client, web interface and mobile device.
The outage was the result of an abnormal interaction between the virus scanner and the Exchange server. ITS is scheduling the necessary maintenance to fix this component.
