COMPLETED: Internet/Internet 2 Emergency Work Scheduled, 5/19

An outage on Sunday affecting Internet/Internet2 forced us to put temporary measures in place in order to restore these services as quickly as possible. This evening, NYSERNet will be working on the Aggregation switches in New York City to install a permanent configuration during the following window:

Start: Tuesday, May 19, 2009 11:00 PM
Finish: Tuesday, May 19, 2009 11:30 PM

During this time, there is no expected impact to the Weill Cornell Medical College's (WCMC) connectivity to the Internet. However, users will be unable to connect to resources from peer insitutions made available solely via Internet2.

ITS Network and Communication Services Group staff will be working with NYSERNet to ensure there is a minimum interruption to services.
