RESOLVED: Email Service Disruption, 2/9

The Information Technologies & Services Department (ITS) is closely monitoring the email infrastructure after a service disruption earlier today, February 9th.

The issue began late this morning and caused slower performance for all WCMC email users. In some instances, the slow performance caused some users to experience disconnections from the email servers.

As of 3:20 PM, the issue has largely been addressed. The issue was not caused by a virus or spam attack, and we continue to closely observe email performance to ensure that this issue has been fully mitigated.

No data has been lost during this service disruption.
