Virtual Private Network (VPN) provides Weill Cornell Medical College (WCMC) faculty and staff remote access to WCMC network resources such as online library journals, file shares, and Weill Business Gateway (WBG) through an application installed on your personal workstation.

ITS provides VPN clients for both Windows and Macintosh computers. To use the VPN software your computer must be running one of the following operating systems:

• Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
• Microsoft Windows XP Professional Edition
• Macintosh OS 10.4 or later

Access to VPN does not provide a connection to the Internet.

Please note that due to security and licensing restrictions, WCMC cannot provide NewYork-Presbyterian employees and residents remote access via VPN. For remote access, NewYork-Presbyterian employees and residents should contact the NewYork-Presbyterian Helpdesk by dialing 4-HELP(44357).
