MetroEthernet
MetroEthernet is the network connectivity option we offer for remote sites that are lightly staffed (less than 10 workstations) with low to moderate data transfer needs. ITS can provide your site with Internet connectivity and access to resources on the main WCMC network at 1300 York.
What Is Included
- Support for ITS-tagged machines that meet the minimum requirements
- Depending on the site's distance from the main campus, limited on-site support
- Access and support for all ITS supported software, including up-to-date antivirus and firewall software and Microsoft Office
- Consultation with ITS to determine appropriate connection speeds and pricing for individual off-campus locations
- Network speeds between 1Mbs to 1Gbs

Price varies based on size and complexity
Prior to the start of each WCMC fiscal cycle, a memo is sent to the department administrator detailing the yearly rates which will be billed quarterly, in advance of service, and requesting a signature and account number for authorization and billing.
