Center Wide ID (CWID)
Center Wide ID (CWID), pronounced "sea weed," is a unique identifier consisting of a seven character username assigned to all faculty, staff and students. This ID is used to log into nearly all major WCMC and NewYork-Presbyterian systems. It always constitutes the first section of your WCMC email address, "CWID"@med.cornell.edu.
What Is Included
- CWID consisting of your initials (3) plus 2xxx where XX is a consecutive number for that initial starting with 01.
- For employees who began prior to 1998, their CWID does not follow the current convention.
Cost
The CWID is provided at no additional charge. For access to the network and WCMC systems, fees do apply.
