Using Legacy Webmail
Enabling Popups In Firefox
The Firefox web browser has a built-in feature which automatically prevents "pop-up" windows generated by web pages from being displayed. The legacy version of webmail will attempt to create a pop-up window when the New Message button is clicked. This pop-up blocking feature must be customized to allow pop-up windows created by this site to be seen.
When Firefox blocks a new window from being displayed, it shows a warning at the top of the current window to this regard, as seen below:

To customize Firefox to always allow all pop-up windows created by "email.med.cornell.edu":
- Click the New Message button to initiate a pop-up window
- Click on the yellow warning banner at the top of the browser window to display options
- Select "Allow popups for email.med.cornell.edu"
- Click the New Message button once more to display the message composition window
