Submitting Broadcast Messages
Optional Lists
If you would like to send an email to one of the optional broadcast lists, please first log in to myProfile. Scroll down to "Email List Subscriptions" and then click on the "Edit" link.
You will see an email Icon in the title of each optional broadcast list. Click on the email icon in the title of the list you would like to send to. This will take you to the Message Composition screen.

From here, you can format your message using the built-in editor. The editor has formatting tools along the top which allow you to change the font used, the size of the font, insert links, and other formatting options. You can also use HTML to format the message.
Once complete, you can preview your message before it is sent by clicking the Preview button along the bottom. Please make sure your message adheres to the Broadcast Email policy. When you are satisfied with your message, click the Send Email button along the bottom.
You will then receive an email to your WCMC email address confirming your message. In order to release your broadcast to the list, please reply to this email with "OK" in body of the message (without quotes). Once this is done, your message will be sent to the Broadcast list you selected.
Lists are not a good method of sending urgent messages or same day announcements. Messages sent to optional mailing lists are not always sent instantaneously. Conditions such as high system load or long subscriber lists may prevent your message from being delivered immediately. Furthermore, some users subscribe in a digest format, which combines all messages in a day into a single email. Digest subscribers will not see your message until they receive the digest, typically at 6PM daily.
Mandatory Lists
Only designated, central administration senders as specified in the Broadcast Email policy are allowed to send messages to WCMC-ALL. For more information, please contact ITS Support.
