Project Management Office
The Weill Cornell Medical College (WCMC) Project Management office (PMO) is an Information Technology & Services (ITS) division created for the specific purpose of supporting WCMC's IT project management needs. The dual mission of the PMO is to:
- Provide guidance in project management processes and methodologies in a manner that is efficient, consistent, and standardized leading to successful conclusion
- Create a foundation for consistent IT project success throughout the WCMC IT community. Do this through establishing and championing consistent project, program and portfolio management practices within WCMC's IT project teams
What Do We Do
In support of our mission, the PMO has five primary goals:
- Foster an environment of Project Management professionalism among ITS project management staff
- Deliver successful IT projects
- Measure and Forecast Capacity to Deliver Successful Projects
- Keep Management and Project Community informed
- Serve as WCMC's authority on IT Project Management leading practices
How Do I See a List of Current Projects which ITS is Managing?
The Active Projects link allows you to view the current projects which ITS is managing. Project details such as goals, requestor, status and expected go-live date are provided.
What Is Included

How Do I Get Started?
The Project Request form allows you to describe the project and its objectives, indicate a funding source, and discuss the benefit to the university and the requested start and completion date. Required fields are indicated by a red line next to the label. Optional fields should be completed if you know the information.
