The ITS backup policy can change based on the application and data. However if it is not specified, the terms below generally apply:

• Backups occur from 11PM to 7AM
• Files must be closed to be backed up
• Any server files left open during the backup window cannot be backed up
• Databases using server files are subject to the same conditions, i.e. an open database cannot be backed up
